William J. Manfredi is responsible for leading a worldwide Human Resources capability that supports the operational and strategic needs of Wunderman’s growing global network. His ability to understand client business needs results in cutting edge talent management programs that enable the agency to deliver the best talent to our clients and allows their businesses to thrive.

As EVP, Global Talent Management across Young & Rubicam Brands, Bill is responsible for Wunderman's human capital initiatives, which center on empowering our people at every level with the responsibility, knowledge, and tools to add strategic value to the business and achieve bottom-line results. He is a member of the Wunderman Leadership Board.

Throughout his tenure, Bill has overseen the initial staffing and talent management strategy for Wunderman’s highly successful Microsoft and Nokia accounts, and before that for IBM, one of the first marketers to consolidate its agency relationships globally. His success stems from using a client-focused talent selection model and consistent on-boarding/knowledge certification programs.

Bill also oversees the development and growth of Wunderman University, the only agency-based learning and education system recognized by the Direct Marketing Education Foundation (DMEF). In 2008, Wunderman and its subsidiary KnowledgeBase Marketing received the DMEF Corporate Commitment Award for excellence in all areas of direct marketing education.

In addition, Bill developed and maintains a performance management program that keeps pace with the needs of clients and our people.

His broad-based experience is essential for running a global human resources operation. As Global Human Resources vice president at Ernst & Young Consulting, he built a global resource function to support the company's U.S. investment in worldwide member firms, created human resource global shared services and provided the infrastructure and strategic support in all new global ventures. Before that, he was director of Human Resources at CSC Consulting and Sprint International, where he established internal recruiting processes, developed global recruitment programs, established worldwide staffing networks and developed and implemented competency models to ensure selection of world-class candidates for key positions.

Bill cut his teeth in the business at IBM Corporation, where he held the positions of director of HR Programs, Asia/Pacific Group, Tokyo; Director Division Headquarters and Marketing Brand Office Management.
